Also...the algorithms used to identify priority email will probably be used to identify priority ads...possibly increasing clickthro's.

The spam filters rely on the feedback of hundreds of millions of users ...obviously the priority email filters cannot do so.

If Google can identify the emails that are important, the ads displayed will probably be more relevant as well.

Can Anything Stop The Facebook Juggernaut?
I have not logged into Facebook for over 2 months. My friends have not noticed. When I first started using Facebook I found it addictive...tracking down people I had not seen in years was fun. Until I realised that there was a reason I had not bothered to keep in contact with these people in the first place (sad but true). Facebook is a walled garden...a big one...but still a walled garden. It cannot match the richness and depth of the wild web. Sooner or later the web will catch up and it will be easy to track / follow / subscribe to people across different sites without having to use a central gatekeeper site.
