Ethics redefined
The so-called "ethics committee" of the US House of Congress recently ruled that it was okay for elected officials to earmark hundreds of millions of dollars in no-bid contracts for contractors who also just happened to make large campaign contributions to said politicians.

Police put non-violent activists' names on terror lists
From the land of the "free": "The Maryland State Police classified 53 nonviolent activists as terrorists and entered their names and personal information into state and federal databases that track terrorism suspects, the state police chief acknowledged yesterday." "The former state police superintendent who authorized the operation, Thomas E. Hutchins, defended the program in testimony yesterday. Hutchins said the program was a bulwark against potential violence and called the activists "fringe people." "

Judges took money from private prisons to jail kiddies longer
"This story is every conspiracy theorists wet dream. Two Pennsylvania Judges have pleaded guilty to accepting more than $2.6 million from a private youth detention center in return for giving hundreds of kiddies longer sentences." Hope these guys go to jail...judges have a GREAT time in jail...whos your daddy!
